Looking for Alaska

In between reading textbooks, The Myth of Choice and The Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man (I know, how can I possibly be reading all these books at once :/), I bought Looking for Alaska, by John Greene and I loved it. No matter how old I get, I never stop loving books meant for teenagers. But this one was a little bit different from my usuals in that it was told from the perspective of a guy. And the main difference was that this book was really funny. Like, it made me laugh out loud funny. It was extremely sad too, but ultimately heartwarming at the end, and really fulfilling, like young adult books usually are. It surprised me (but I guess it shouldn’t) how much I have in common with a lame and lonely teenage boy. But I really connected with Pudge and I hope one day I can experience my own Great Perhaps. Who knows, maybe it will happen here in London?
